Transforming ELT Classrooms Through Integrated Learning
“Empowering Teachers, Inspiring Learners”
The primary teachers of Little Flower School, Hatigaon, attended a teacher training workshop on 12th September 2026 at Novotel Hotel, Guwahati. The workshop, titled “Transforming ELT Classrooms Through Integrated Learning,” was conducted by Surbhi Arora, an academician and teacher trainer.
The workshop focused primarily on integrated learning for competency-based ELT classrooms. The entire session was highly engaging and informative, exploring practical ways to foster competency-based English language learning through integrated, engaging, and learner-centric approaches.
Innovative strategies to encourage meaningful communication and transform everyday English classrooms into spaces for deeper learning and meaningful outcomes were also discussed. The session provided teachers with practical insights and ideas that could be effectively incorporated into their classroom practices.
Representatives from Collins Publishers gave a brief introduction to the history of Collins and presented their range of books, which focus on curricular goals and competencies, pedagogy, assessment, technology-enabled learning, and holistic development.
The organising team was warm, welcoming, and hospitable throughout the event. The session concluded with a sumptuous meal for all the participants.
As part of the celebration of 20 years of raising readers and inspiring a love for reading, Collins Big Cat gifted all the teachers a beautiful bag containing a collection of informative books. The books are NCF-aligned and designed to support purposeful, future-ready learning for an ever-evolving world.
