The Road Map to Success

On 5th October, a career counselling seminar was conducted for the young and bright minds of Classes IX and X. The session was guided by distinguished dignitaries, Ma’am Papori Borah, Assistant Director of Admission and Marketing, and Ma’am Mahmuda Begum, Admission Counsellor, of Assam Down Town University. The seminar helped the students explore new and innovative career opportunities in emerging and advancing fields for their future.
Every student was inspired to create their own roadmap towards their desired destination and to define what “success” truly means to them. The first step involves self-evaluation and self-analysis—questions that are essential to ask oneself in order to understand one’s innate strengths and abilities. The next step is to identify suitable career choices that align with our interests, aptitude, and opportunities for learning and growth.
Societal pressure may sometimes be an uninvited influence from our surroundings; however, we must persevere and choose what is best for ourselves and our future. A clear path must be carved out to approach our goals and dreams with determination and clarity. Finally, we must redefine “success” according to what matters most to us in life—whether it is financial stability, family, personal fulfilment, or any other meaningful achievement.
Hence, there are many career fields that remain unknown or overlooked while deciding what we want to become and what profession we wish to pursue. A backup plan is always necessary, even for the most carefully laid-out strategy. Therefore, we must be thoughtful about our decisions and remember that failure is never final. There will always be more opportunities to learn, grow, and shape the life we dream of.
