Teachers’ Day Celebration
Celebrating the Dedication, Wisdom and Inspiration of Our Teachers.
A Teachers’ Day celebration was organised on 5 September 2026 at Little Flower School to honour and express gratitude to the teachers for their guidance, dedication and contribution to the lives of the students. The programme was held in the school assembly ground in the presence of the school management, teachers and students.
The programme commenced with the entry of the teachers, who were accompanied to their seats by the school band, after which the school band presented a welcoming performance. The celebration formally commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Rev. Sr. Alice Mathew, Manager, Rev. Sr. Sheeba Joseph, Principal, Rev. Sr. Poonam Soreng, Vice Principal, along with the Head Boy and the Head Girl. This was followed by an introduction and a warm welcome by the anchors. A prayer dance was then presented. The teachers were subsequently felicitated as a mark of respect and gratitude with handmade flowers and Phulam Gamosas. One of the senior-most teachers of the school, Sir Ranen Paul, was also specially felicitated with a bouquet of flowers and a Gamosa as a mark of honour and respect. This was followed by a group song featuring songs of Zubeen Garg. Rev. Sr. Alice Mathew then addressed the gathering with words of appreciation and encouragement.
The cultural programme continued with a retro-song performance that reminded the audience of the timeless charm of classic songs. As the celebration coincided with the birthday of Rev. Sr. Sheeba Joseph, her birthday was also celebrated, with the arrangements made by Class XII. She was presented with a Phulam Gamosa and gifts, followed by a birthday song presented by the students. A special performance was also presented by Trinayan, a student of Class XII, who entertained the gathering with his play. The programme then continued with a combined dance by Classes VI and VII, followed by a dance performance by the Class VIII boys. The Head Boy and Head Girl then graced the celebration with their words, followed by dance performances by Classes IX, X, XI and XII.
The cultural segment concluded with a lively performance by the school orchestra band, which created an energetic and rocking atmosphere. The programme finally concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Ma’am Urmila Deori, bringing the celebration to a joyful and memorable end.
