Little Flower School

School History: 1988.

Little Flower Senior Secondary School is geographically nestled in the capital city of Guwahati, Hatigaon, Assam. It was established on 22nd March 1988 by the missionary sisters of Mary Help of Christians in North East India, a body registered under the societies Registration Act XII of 1983(NO. SR MSOMHOC-55/90 OF 1990).

It is a co-ed catholic Educational Institution and is meant primarily for the Catholics but is open to all, irrespective of caste, religion or community.

Aim

LFS primarily aims at imparting sound formation in moral, psychological, social, intellectual and physical strata of life to all the students admitted to this institution.

Early Beginnings

The dawn of LFS began with the pioneering sisters, Rev Sr. Anne Valacherry as the first headmistress and joined by Rev. Mother Rose Thapa, Sr. Teresa Shimra and Rev Sr. Sara. A humble beginning, with 106 kids started operating with the kindergarten. Gradually the margin of education got standardized to the middle school and finally reached the higher school.

Milestones

With a humble beginning, LFS endured, nurtured and flourished giving hopes and full filling dreams to many. LFS has set sailed with just 103 students with the Assam type house to the well-built infrastructure with all the facilities. The school has groomed with the latest smart classes to meet the needs of the techno world.

School Today

Years have passed since its beginning. Many hands have molded to give its best shape in forming the young minds. The staff led by the team of missionary sisters of Mary Help Of Christians raised LFS to senior secondary with three streams. From the time of its inception, Little Flower Senior Secondary School has emerged as an institute for excellence and to give wings to the knowledge of the rising flowerians.
