A Showcase of Summer Creativity
“Art turns moments into memories and creativity into celebration.”
The Art and Craft Exhibition at Little Flower School was held on 1st August 2026 on the occasion of Mother’s Feast Day. The exhibition brought together an impressive collection of creative works prepared by students from different classes during their summer vacation. From colourful paintings and intricate crafts to thoughtful handmade articles, each display reflected the students’ imagination, patience, and enthusiasm.
The occasion was graced by Reverend Mother Christine Minson, Superior General of MSMHC, who was welcomed with a special programme organised in her honour. She also visited the exhibition and appreciated the creativity and dedication reflected in the students’ work.
The event provided a wonderful platform for students to showcase their talents and transformed the school into a vibrant celebration of art, creativity, and self-expression.
A CELEBRATION OF TALENT
“Where Talent Shines and Confidence Soars”
On Saturday, 1st August 2026, the school campus came alive with vibrant performances, boundless enthusiasm, and an atmosphere of celebration as the school hosted the Annual Talent Hunt 2026.
The Annual Talent Hunt served as a vibrant platform for the Flowerians to showcase their diverse talents and express themselves with confidence. Competitions such as extempore speeches, recitation, solo singing, special talent, and a variety of other performances brought to light the remarkable creativity, dedication, and individuality of the participants.
Each presentation reflected sincere effort, enthusiastic preparation, and a strong pursuit of excellence, beautifully embodying the spirit of the school’s motto for the year. The programme was a true celebration of talent, perseverance, and self-belief, inspiring both the performers and the audience alike.
MOTHER'S FEAST DAY
“Celebrating Faith, Unity and the Spirit of Service”
The Feast of Mother General was celebrated on the school premises with great devotion and joy on 1st August 2026. The day began with a solemn welcome as the NCC students, along with a few senior teachers, escorted Mother General to the school. All the General Council members were also present to grace the occasion.
The programme commenced with a prayer led by the Sisters, seeking God’s blessings for the day. Our Principal welcomed everyone and gave a brief sketch of the life of St. Christina, highlighting her virtues of service, humility, and faith, which continue to inspire us.
As a mark of respect and love, the teachers felicitated Mother General with a gamosa, japi, flowers, and gifts. Her address to the gathering enriched everyone present. She spoke about the values of dedication, compassion, and unity, and her words left a deep impression on all.
The cultural segment was vibrant and colourful. The students presented a festal song that filled the atmosphere with joy. The tiny tots of Class I enthralled the audience with a delightful dance, followed by a cultural dance and an energetic performance by the boys, whose rhythmic movements beautifully enhanced the celebration.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Mithu, who expressed her gratitude to Mother General, the General Councillors, teachers, students, and everyone who contributed to making the celebration a memorable success.

30 June 2026 marked a memorable milestone in the lives of the students of Class XI for the academic session 2026–2027, as Little Flower School organized a grand Welcome Social to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in their academic journey.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Vice-Principal, teachers, and student representatives, symbolizing the dawn of knowledge, hope, and new beginnings. This was followed by the welcome address delivered by the Principal, who inspired the students with words of wisdom on the values of discipline, perseverance, integrity, and lifelong learning. The occasion was further enriched by the thoughtful and encouraging messages shared by the esteemed mentors, motivating the students to embrace new opportunities with confidence, determination, and a spirit of excellence.
The formal proceedings were followed by a melodious choir performance that created a warm and graceful atmosphere. The programme was elegantly compered by the student anchors, whose confidence and enthusiasm kept the audience engaged throughout the event. Students of Class XII captivated everyone with vibrant cultural performances, extending a heartfelt welcome to their juniors through music and dance. The students of Class XI also showcased their talents with great enthusiasm, adding colour, energy, and charm to the celebration.

A Day of Joyful Learning
A Colourful Celebration of Nature, Learning, and Joy.
The Kindergarten students of LKG and UKG celebrated the much-awaited 'Fruits and Flowers Day' for the academic session 2026–27 on 26th June 2026.
The event was a vibrant and joyful learning experience for the little ones. Dressed in colourful costumes representing a variety of fruits and flowers, the children looked absolutely adorable and brought the celebration to life with their cheerful presence.
Apart from speaking confidently about their respective fruit or flower, the students enthusiastically participated in fun-filled activities such as singing and dancing. Through these engaging activities, they learnt about the importance of eating fruits and gained knowledge about different types of flowers.
The celebration was truly meaningful and memorable. The creativity and dedicated efforts of the parents, the guidance of the Kindergarten teachers, and the enthusiasm of the students together made the day bright, colourful, and a grand success.International Yoga Day Celebration 2026

With vigour and enthusiasm, the students of Little Flower School observed the 12th International Yoga Day, celebrating a timeless tradition deeply rooted in India's cultural heritage and cherished worldwide for its profound contribution to human well-being.
The programme commenced with a brief address highlighting the significance of yoga as a pathway to inner peace, self-discipline, and holistic development. Aligned with the International Yoga Day 2026 theme, "Yoga for Healthy Ageing," the celebration emphasized the enduring relevance of yoga in promoting physical vitality, mental resilience, and emotional balance.
In her address, the Principal encouraged the students to incorporate yoga into their daily lives, stressing its importance in fostering physical fitness, mental clarity, and inner harmony. Under the guidance of their teachers, the students actively participated in various yoga asanas, breathing exercises, and meditation practices, demonstrating mindfulness, balance, and self-awareness.
The celebration served as a meaningful reminder that yoga extends beyond physical exercise; it is a way of life that harmonizes the body, enriches the mind, and uplifts the spirit. NCC Cadets Participate in Annual Training Camps
Building Discipline, Leadership, and Patriotism.
The NCC cadets of Little Flower School actively participated in two ten-day Annual Training Camps conducted from 23 May to 1 June 2026 and 3 June to 12 June 2026.
The camps provided the cadets with valuable opportunities to develop discipline, leadership, teamwork, and physical fitness through regular drills, parades, physical training sessions, and various instructional activities. These programmes were designed to instill a sense of responsibility, self-confidence, and dedication among the participants.
One of the major highlights of the camps was the visit to the firing range, where the cadets received practical training in rifle firing under the guidance and supervision of trained instructors. This experience helped them gain firsthand knowledge of firearm handling, safety measures, and marksmanship.
The camps proved to be a highly enriching and rewarding experience for all the participating cadets, strengthening their confidence, enhancing their leadership qualities, and fostering the spirit of service and patriotism.
World Environment Day Celebration
Promoting Environmental Awareness and Sustainable Living.
On 5 June 2026, Little Flower School observed World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and environmental awareness through a thoughtfully organized programme aimed at promoting the importance of protecting and preserving our planet.
The celebration commenced with a graceful dance performance by the students of Class XI. Through their expressive presentation, they beautifully depicted the splendour of nature and conveyed a powerful message on the need to safeguard the environment for future generations.
As a mark of respect and gratitude, our respected Principal, Rev. Sr. Sheeba Joseph, was felicitated with a traditional Gamusa. In her inspiring address, she emphasized the significance of environmental conservation and highlighted the responsibility of the younger generation in creating a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable future.
A meaningful Plantation Ceremony followed, during which the Principal and Vice Principal planted a sapling in a flower pot, symbolizing hope, growth, and commitment towards nurturing nature. The Head Boy then led the students in a solemn Environmental Pledge, encouraging everyone to keep their surroundings clean and actively contribute to the protection of the environment.
The programme also featured a variety of competitions, including Inter-House Gardening, Poster Making, Drawing, and Best Out of Waste. The Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow Houses participated in the gardening competition with remarkable enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork, each striving to showcase their best efforts. Students from various classes demonstrated their artistic talents and environmental consciousness through innovative posters, drawings, and recycled craft creations.
The celebration successfully conveyed the message of environmental stewardship and inspired students to become responsible custodians of nature. Felicitation Programme for Outstanding Board Examination Results

Little Flower School, Hatigaon, organized a felicitation programme on June 1, 2026, to honour the outstanding achievements of its Class X and Class XII students in the board examinations.
The programme was held in the school auditorium in the presence of Rev. Sr. Alice Matthew, Manager; Rev. Sr. Sheeba Joseph, Principal; Rev. Sr. Poonam Soreng, Vice Principal; teachers, students, and other distinguished guests. Students of Class X who secured 90% and above and all the Class XII students were felicitated for their hard work and academic excellence. Students of Classes IX, X, XI, and XII attended the programme to congratulate and celebrate the achievements of their seniors and peers.
The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness through knowledge, wisdom, and hope. The lamp was lit by the Chief Guest, Rev. Sr. Alice Matthew; the Principal, Rev. Sr. Sheeba Joseph; teacher representatives; and student representatives. The auspicious ceremony marked the formal inauguration of the event and set a positive and inspiring tone for the proceedings.
Following the lighting of the lamp, a prayer service was conducted by the sisters of the school. The prayer sought blessings, wisdom, and guidance for all present and created a serene and reverent atmosphere in the hall. As a gesture of respect and gratitude, the Chief Guest, Rev. Sr. Alice Matthew, and the Principal, Rev. Sr. Sheeba Joseph, were honoured with traditional Phulam Gamusas.
The programme then proceeded with the Welcome Address delivered by the Principal, Rev. Sr. Sheeba Joseph. The audience was then treated to a graceful Sattriya dance performance. Through elegant movements and devotional expressions, the performers beautifully showcased the rich cultural heritage of Assam, earning enthusiastic applause from everyone present.
A special address was delivered by the teacher representative, Sir Madhav Upadhaya. He congratulated the achievers and shared valuable words of encouragement. Highlighting the importance of hard work, perseverance, consistency, and determination, he motivated students to continue pursuing excellence. He inspired them to surpass existing benchmarks and remarked, “Records are made to be broken.” He also reminded students that a single examination result does not determine their future.
The programme continued with the felicitation of students who secured 60% and above in the board examinations. The achievers were warmly applauded as they received recognition for their sincere efforts and remarkable accomplishments.

The cultural celebrations concluded with a vibrant Bihu dance performance. The rhythmic beats, colourful attire, and energetic movements beautifully reflected the spirit and cultural richness of Assam. The performance filled the atmosphere with joy and received tremendous appreciation from the audience. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Class XII topper Siddhi Jalan. On behalf of all the achievers, she expressed her sincere gratitude to the Principal, teachers, non-teaching staff, and the school management for their constant support, guidance, and encouragement throughout their academic journey. Reflecting on her years at the school, she shared how the institution had played a significant role in shaping the students' growth and success. Mother Mary's Feast Day Celebration

Continuing a cherished tradition, Little Flower School came together in a spirit of devotion and joy as the school celebrated Mother Mary’s Feast Day on 23rd May 2026. The entire campus was immersed in an atmosphere of faith and love, honouring the Blessed Mother, whose life continues to inspire humility, compassion, and selfless service.
The celebration began with a solemn Prayer Service, during which prayers and hymns rose like gentle whispers of faith.
To foster unity and collaboration, both students and teachers were divided into five clubs: the Social Science Club, Literary Club, IT Club, Sports Club, and Art & Cultural Club. Excitement filled the air as representatives from each club participated in a Mystery Chit-Picking Ceremony to determine the order of performances, adding an element of surprise and anticipation to the celebration.
The first competitive event was the Choir Singing Competition. One by one, the clubs presented melodious songs of praise and devotion to Mother Mary. Their voices blended harmoniously, filling the school hall with a symphony of faith, hope, and love, creating a truly heavenly atmosphere.
The celebration continued with the much-awaited Tableau Performances, where each club brought a unique theme to life through creativity, expression, and teamwork. Through vivid costumes, meaningful scenes, and powerful presentations, the participants captivated the audience while conveying inspiring messages and values.
The programme was not merely a competition but a beautiful reflection of unity in diversity. It provided a platform for students and teachers to work together, celebrate their talents, and strengthen their spiritual bond as one school family.

In her welcome address, our Principal, Rev. Sr. Sheeba Joseph, emphasized that a badge is not merely a title but a profound symbol of duty, commitment to excellence, and unwavering hard work.
The Chief Guest, Rev. Sr. Alice Mathew, then addressed the newly elected student leaders, inspiring them to embrace responsibility in every action and remain undeterred by challenges. She reminded them that true leadership is not measured by the number of followers but by one's ability to inspire and serve others.
The programme was followed by a vibrant tribute to Zubeen Garg, which added colour and enthusiasm to the occasion. Students who achieved 100% attendance were also honoured for their commitment and regularity throughout the academic year.
The ceremony concluded with the Head Boy and Head Girl delivering the Vote of Thanks, expressing their gratitude and looking forward to a year filled with learning, responsibility, and purpose.

The LKG Initiation Ceremony, held on 18 April 2026, was a delightful event marking the beginning of a new journey for the young learners. The programme commenced with an introduction followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, a prayer service, and readings from the Holy Bible, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere.
A graceful prayer dance performed by the students added to the solemnity of the occasion. The Principal delivered the welcome address, after which the tiny tots presented an energetic Bee Dance that brought smiles to everyone present. The Chief Guest, Rev. Sr. Christine Mynsong, shared her inspiring thoughts, emphasizing that learning is a journey rather than a destination and highlighting the importance of values such as patience, compassion, and discipline.
The audience was captivated by a sweet Manipuri dance and a lively Bihu dance performed by the students. The Principal also briefed the parents on the school's rules and regulations. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the sacred ritual of Vidyarambham, symbolizing the children's first step into the world of learning.
The event marked a memorable beginning to the academic journey of the young buds, filling the day with joy, hope, and enthusiasm.

The ceremonial lighting of the lamp before Mother Mary by teachers and students symbolized the spread of knowledge and positivity. This was followed by a soulful hymn that added to the spiritual atmosphere of the occasion.
Rev. Sr. Sheeba Joseph, our respected Principal, addressed the gathering with inspiring words on sincerity, faith, and dedication. Sr. Katherine Joseph, General Councillor for Education, unveiled the theme of the year—Honesty, Humility, and Harmony—guiding us towards strong values, mutual respect, and unity.
The programme concluded with the Teachers' Oath, marking a beautiful beginning filled with hope, commitment, and promise for the year ahead.
